Hyderabad or the City of Pearls, as it is popularly referred to, is one of the fastest developing cities of India. The capital city of Andhra Pradesh, it is also the fifth largest city of India. About Hyderabad

Hyderabad, located along the banks of the Musi river in south India was founded by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, a feudatory of Bahmani Kingdom who later declared independence. He named this city as Bhagyanagram after his beloved wife, Bhagyamati. When his wife converted to Islam, she was renamed Hyder Mahal and so did city's name changed to Hyderabad.

This mosque has been named so because the bricks to build it had been brought from Mecca. Started by Qutb Shahi kings, the mosque was finally completed by the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb in 1694. Golconda Fort is another famous tourist attraction in Hyderabad. Known for its acoustic, this fort was built by three Qutb Shahi kings over a period of 62 years.
